Universal Account

Particle Network’s Universal Accounts play a crucial role within UniversalX, providing users with a single address and balance to trade across all chains.

Universal Accounts leverage Particle Network's Universal Liquidity. Thanks to this system, every time a user starts an operation, their account automatically executes the atomic cross-chain transactions and required for it.

How is this possible?

Universal Liquidity, in turn, relies on Particle Network's L1 blockchain, the Particle Chain (powered by $PARTI), which coordinates and orders all the cross-chain transactions executed by Universal Accounts.

Addresses within a Universal Account

Within its interface, UniversalX distinguishes between two concepts: a user's "Universal Account" and their Owner Address.

  • The Universal Account, the account through which a user interacts with UniversalX. Every deposit into UniversalX should be sent to this address.

  • The Owner Address, which executes signatures. Users do not need to interact with this address at all.

If you mistakenly transfer assets to your Owner Address, you can withdraw them through the following methods, depending on how you created your account:

  • If you connected a social account, visit Particle Wallet and log in with the same social account you used to create your UniversalX account. You can retrieve your assets there.

  • If you used a wallet to log in, your assets should now be in that wallet, as you would have deposited them into it. This is unless the wallet or exchange you used allows you to incorrectly try to transfer assets to a different VM (from Solana to EVM or vice-versa), in which case these assets would either still be in their source account or lost.

  • If you created a wallet with a mnemonic phrase, export this phrase or your private key and add it to another wallet to view your assets. Please ensure the security of your mnemonic phrase and private key.
