# Red Packets: Spread the Joy

Another way of getting your friends to use UniversalX is by giving them some tokens via a **Red Packet**. This feature is perfect for introducing someone to crypto or rewarding community members—for example, by sending a small amount of USDT or ETH to a friend so they can start trading.

The Red Packet feature can be accessed from the **Home, Account, or Invite pages.** \

Once there, to create a Red Packet:

1. Click “**Create a Gift**”.​
2. **Select the token and amount:** Choose which token you want to give out and how much of it. You can pick any supported token.
3. **Choose the number of recipients:** You can send one Red Packet to several recipients at once.&#x20;
4. **Choose between a fixed or random distribution:** If you have multiple recipients, you’ll have two options for how the amount is divided:&#x20;
   1. **Fixed (each person gets an equal share).**
   2. **Random (the amount will be randomly split among all recipients).** For instance, if you put $50 in a Red Packet for 5 people and choose fixed, each gets $10. If you choose random, one person might get $15, another $5, another $12, etc., totaling $50 in all.​
5. **Add a message (optional):** You can include a short personalized note along with the gift.
6. **Confirm & pay a fee:** Once you’ve set the token, amount, recipients, and message, confirm to create the Red Packet. Each time you create a Red Packet, **you’re sponsoring your claimers’ fees**, so they don’t have to pay them themselves. As such, the system will charge you these fees.
7. **Send to your friends:** The system will then generate a unique shareable link (and a QR code) for your Red Packet.​ This link contains all the info needed for someone to claim the gift.

### Claiming a Red Packet

Once your Red Packet recipient clicks the link you provided (or scans the QR), they’ll be taken to UniversalX. If they are new to UniversalX, they’ll be guided to quickly create an account. The invite code embedded in the Red Packet link will automatically tag them as your referral as well, so you’ll earn commissions if they start trading.&#x20;

Once the recipient confirms the claim, the gifted crypto will be instantly credited to their UniversalX account balance.
